Library Art Display Information

If you would like to display your art here at the library, please contact Jan Dempsey at 978-468-5577. We are presently accepting displays for 2013.

Some Guidelines to Follow

New show installation is from 1pm-6pm on the first of May, July, September, November, January and March. If the first of the month falls on a Sunday or holiday, then the following day will be the date of take down and installation.

Taking down of outgoing show is from 10am-1pm on the same day as above.

Artist agrees that any damage to library walls will be repaired at artist's cost. Installation and take down of shows will be the responsibility of the artist alone. Please respect that the Librarians are very busy. Bring all your own materials for hanging your work.

Artist agrees to hold Library harmless for any injury to self and/or damage to or loss of art works.

A reception may be held for a two hour period in the afternoon or evening ending no later than one half hour prior to the Library's normal closing time. Artist will be responsible for all set up and full clean up prior to Library's closing. The Library will provide a table for refreshments. Artist should bring a table cloth, refreshments, napkins, etc.

Artist may deliver or mail photos and typed reception information, library address and hours and artist's biographical statement to the Hamilton-Wenham Chronicle, The Salem Evening News and the Globe's North Weekly.

All works must be suitably framed and fitted with screw eyes and wire.

No wall hooks shall be moved, removed or added. Artist shall not adhere anything to the wall.

A small typed or neatly written card should be adhered to the side or bottom of frames stating title, medium, and dimensions. Copies of a list of works, prices and artist contact information will be left for viewers.
