3RD ANNUAL CHILDREN'S BOOK SALE
Books, CDs, DVDs, & Video Games galore plus a Family
Double Feature: Free Willy: Escape From Pirates’
Cove
at 2pm & Imax Under the Sea at 3:30pm (both
rated G).

JUNGLE ENCOUNTERS:
EDUCATING TO CONSERVE WILDLIFE

Come and meet animal educator Debi Willougby and her
five live wild animals. Learn about these animals’ habitats
and behavior. Stay and enjoy time with some of them up
close and personal! Perfect for kids 4 years and up!

July 7th at 6:30 p.m.
GO GREEN WITH JUNGLE JIM
Jungle Jim loves renewable energy -
especially the power of an engaged audience.
Watch Jim make sculptures from biodegradable balloons
while you learn about water conservation and energy use.
This highly interactive show includes music, stories,
magic, and comedy, and is great for kids from 4-12…
and beyond!


July 14th at 6:30 p.m.
THE YO-YO PEOPLE
blue yoyoCome be amazed by the unparalleled skill of The Yo-Yo People!
John and Rebecca Higby use yo-yos, hula hoops, and a unicycle
to entertain in this interactive family show.
They are 2008 Guinness World Record holders,
have performed around the world,
and appeared on the David Letterman show.

GO GREEN WITH PETER & ELLEN ALLARD
musical notesJoin award-winning musicians Peter & Ellen Allard
for an interactive family concert! With two acoustic guitars,
an accordion, a bundle of energy, and a vast repertoire
of irresistible songs and chants, the Allards invite families
to accompany them on an interactive foot-stomping,
handclapping, finger-snapping musical journey.


July 28th at 6:30 p.m.
DYAN DENAPOLI, THE PENGUIN LADY
penguinDo Penguins have knees? How deep can they dive?
What is guano and how far can it go? Find out answers
to these questions and more with Dyan DeNapoli, the
Penguin Lady! Play penguin games and win penguin
prizes. This program is designed for ages 7 and up.

12TH ANNUAL VEHICLE NIGHT
Join us in the parking lot for a festival of fire engines,
emergency trucks and cruisers, snow plows, a Cluck Truck,
a USCBP K-9 Unit and more! Brought to you by the
Fire, Police, and Public Works departments of Hamilton and Wenham,
Dodge Tree Service,
Willow Tree Poultry Farm,
the Mix 104.1 Ice Cream Truck,
and by the Department of Homeland Security.
It's not just vehicles!
Be sure to say hello to Apache,
the Department of Homeland's Security's K-9 working dog!

PIG OUT ON READING
WITH FARMER MINOR & DAISY THE PIG

Farmer Minor will bring his pig, Daisy, to read stories,
play games, and get kids ready to “pig out” on reading.

MONARCH BUTTERFLY PROGRAM
butterfly, NOT a monarchCome, see and learn about Monarch butterflies from our
resident expert and favorite Boston College professor, Dr.
Charlie Hoffman! Learn how to identify, collect and care
for Monarch eggs and caterpillars, and learn how YOU can
raise them at home!
Additional:
We need caterpillars and food for this program.
Bring in a Monarch caterpillar and milkweed and win a prize!

BRYAN SHECKELLS PRESENTS
Get your green on with 5th grade teacher Bryan Sheckells
as he leads 3 workshops where participants enjoy stories
and create a bounty of fun recyclable novelties that you
can bring home.

July 17th: Making (Recycled) Music Together
July 31st: Recycled Science
Sign up for 1, 2, or all 3. Must be 8-12
years old to participate.

Summer’s here, so it’s time to start earning 2010 library
Greenbacks! Beginning Monday, June 21, pick up a
Reading Log and Time Chart in the Children’s Room.
Keep track of your reading on your Time Chart and
write the titles of the books you read in your Reading
Log. Earn one “Greenback” for every hour you read or
have stories read to you! Remember: Whe
n filling out
your Reading Log, you only need to write the titles once!
Spend your “Greenbacks” on unique items sold at the
Library Store such as toys, paperback books, inflatables
and more! The Library Store opens for business on
Tuesday, July 6, and closes on Friday, August 20.
This activity is open to all children from preschool to
students entering 6th grade.

Remember: In order to collect your “Greenbacks,”
you must bring in BOTH your Time Chart & your
Reading Log. Be sure to come during the Store’s
open hours—No exceptions!

The Topsfield Fair is coming up!
